Kayaks

The New Nomad. A kayak that can surf, drift along on slow moving streams and rivers, paddle in shallow areas not accessible by larger craft and of course an amazing fishing vessel! The New Nomad is a state-of-the-art single person kayak. New design features include a foam backed seat and a large ergonomic cockpit. We also stock Fluid, Viking, Feelfree, Barracuda and Wilderness System kayaks, as well as AT, Harmony and Solution paddles, RFD, NRS, MTI and Line 7 vests and lifejackets.
Boogie(Body)Boards
boogie
The oppresive heat of the Dunedin summer is made bearable when you know that we have the most consistent waves in the country! Body (Boogie) boarding is a great way to enjoy those waves without going through the steep learning curve that stand-up surfing involves. For this reason it is more accessible to people who don't have the time or inclination to learn surfing. It's a great way for kids to become water-smart and for adults to get barrelled while the surfer's can only stand by and watch! We stock NMD, Ocean & Earth, Churchill, Kicks, Stealth and Hydro boards. We also have a wide selection of fins.

Scuba
scuba
New Zealand has some of the most amazing dive spots in the world. Just a 40 minute drive from downtown Dunedin is the Aramoana "Mole", a voluntary marine reserve that has 3 purpose-sunk ships that you can dive on! Whilst checking out the innards of these historic hulls, you may be checked out by the local residents, including blue pengiuns, blue cod, sea lions, conger eels and maybe even a mako if you're lucky! There are many such amazing spots not far from here, so get yourself kitted-up and get out there! We stock masks, fins, BCD's, regulators and more from our partner, Mares, one of the world-leader's in SCUBA gear.
Wake Boarding
wake
Catching air in most sports means a heavy landing if things go wrong mid-air. Wakeboarding is one of those great sports where slamming hard usually doesn't mean weeks of physio and painkillers! The learning curve is pretty easy and the fun level is "o" for awesome! Just imagine gliding over a sheet of glassy lake water, wind in your hair, kicking up a 10 foot spray of whitewater as you carve your rail deep to make that turn before launching in to a huge method-air over the wake. Sound good? If your mate has a boat and you have a wakeboard, you will definitely be invited out again and again- it's a super cheap way to get in to the boating-set! So the first thing to do is get yourself some top-of-the-line equipment, which funnily enough we happen to stock! Our major brand is Obrien.
Spare Parts

We know you love to go hard, so it is inevitable that from time to time you will need repairs or replacement parts. Whether you have popped an edge, dinged your nose or blown-out a valve, come and see us and we can put you straight.

Surf's Up, Bro!

surfs up~

Dunedin is surrounded by natural beauty. It is the ocean that provides the environment for our most loved inhabitants, the Hoiho (Yellow Eyed Penguin), the Royal Albatross, and the Crusty Surfer. Boasting a coastline that covers three quarters of the points on a compass, it is rare to have a day where there aren't waves to be ridden somewhere nearby. Not to mention the amazing underwater world and the fun that can be had with motorized propulsion...

Experience the History

aramoana

There are plenty of places to dive around Otago, but the Aramoana "Mole" is special for the history that can be seen with 3 sunken vessels, at depths ranging from beginner to advanced.
