A zip fronted jacket style touring buoyancy aid.
The Yak Xipe is a 3 pocket buoyancy aid for touring / sea kayaking.
The front of the buoyancy aid has a chunky zip closure that conceals the waist belt that fastens behind these panels, meaning that the webbing and fastenings are less likely to catch on re-entry to boats. The jacket is also secured by a bottom clip closure with adjustable side straps, and adjustable neoprene padded shoulder straps. The shoulder straps can be hidden in strap parks to prevent them flapping around the face.
The jacket style means there are 2 pockets on either side, both fairly large without being bulky. The left hand side is slightly longer to accommodate a VHF radio (including a protected antenna hole) and the right hand side having an internal Velcro closed mesh pocket, with attachment points.
The rear pocket is very large, but still slim lined thanks to the neoprene panel down the centre, which expands and contracts as items are placed in or taken out. The pocket also takes hydration bladders easily, with a hanging loop and tube exit hole provided. Both the front and rear pocket zips can be hidden in zip garages when closed, helping to protect them and your boat / equipment from each other.
For safety, there are reflective decals in various locations around the jacket, and reflective piping along some parts.
